Avast Game Mode

Avast game mode is an exclusive feature that disables some aspects of the antivirus software to free up system resources and enhance performance while you are playing games. It automatically detects games that you play and optimizes their performance to ensure they get the highest performance. It also supports customization so that you can add certain games to its whitelist, ensuring they always get the required resources.

In addition to optimizing PC settings Game mode also disables background processes, and mutes notifications triggered by Avast or Windows, as well as it pauses Windows updates to let you play for hours without interruption. It also optimizes CPU resources and increases them to provide you with the best gaming experience.

Avast Game Mode, unlike traditional antivirus software is designed specifically for gamers and offers an enhanced gaming experience. Its intelligent system recognizes the moment when a player is engaged in games and then suspends tasks that consume a lot of resources, such as scanning or updating to minimize interference. This lets the computer devote more of its resources to your game, resulting in quicker loading times and more enjoyable gaming.

It is included in the Avast software as a component. It can be turned off or activated through its user interface. It can be accessed by going to User Interface > Settings, then selecting “Components” and then either selecting or unchecking the box next to “Game Mode’. Even if you turn off Avast’s Game Mode, the real-time security will remain in place.
